Phil Kantoff discusses his career progression and prostate cancer.
“[Clinical expertise] is absolutely mandatory. You have to know the disease and have to roll up your sleeves in the beginning and really understand the disease. But you don’t want to get so caught up in clinical care after you get to the point of becoming an expert that you don’t have time to do investigation. I would say the maximum amount of time if you want to be a clinical/investigator is two days. That’s my opinion.”
