Fox Chase Founders Peter C. Nowell, David A. Hungerford, and Irwin Rose. Nowell and Hungerford are discoverers of the Philadelphia Chromosome in 1959. Rose received the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery of ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation.
